Congratulations to the Red Hot Chili Peppers on their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!
Chris Warren (tech + keyboardist) with the band texted Suzi Matthews while on tour to let her know that Anthony Kiedis is using a V256 Vocoder on “By the Way.” And Josh Klinghoffer’s rig includes a Cathedral Stereo Reverb, Freeze Sound Retainer, Holy Grail Reverb and a Deluxe Memory Man Analog Delay/Chorus/Vibrato.

It’s 1978, The Bee Gees’ soundtrack to the movie “Saturday Night Fever” is flying out of record shops. The U.S. minimum wage is up to $2.65 an hour, and EHX is taking analog delay to the next level with the Deluxe Memory Man. We know which one we still want!

JRENG! is a young, multi-instrumentalist who is heavy into sound design, recording, mixing and mastering in his native Indonesia. When he’s not involved in helping to craft award-winning radio commercials, he’s often busy working on his solo project which he calls “jreng.” JRENG! recently sent Electro-Harmonix two videosongs he created from start to finish. One is a Radiohead cover, the second is an original tune he calls “Nyaris Sempuna,” which translates to Almost Perfect. Enjoy!

Ultra creative, Chicago studio musician, Bill Ruppert, releases the Goblins and Witches as he delivers Effectology 9: HALLOWEEN. Terrifying effect pedals. All effects were created using only Electro-Harmonix gear. Bill provides detailed graphics on how each tone was created.

Here's how producer Thomas Tull describes it: "I wanted to see a movie that captured the essence of why people are so fanatic about the guitar. While there have been a lot of performance documentaries, this one is really about the relationship between these three men and their instruments. We tried to show what drives the artists, what got them passionate as players, what made them pick up the guitar in the first place."
As for me, I was especially chuffed to see the movie's trailer, which begins and ends with Jack White playing a hand-made instrument through a Big Muff Pi. The trailer also includes the White Stripes' "Blue Orchid," one of the first tracks to feature the then-new POG (recently replaced by POG2):

Kevin adds: "I like to have as many options of distortion as possible. The Bass Big Muff is such an identifiable sound that it's really nice to add a little subtle grit to the equation. The Blogger does this nicely. In the 'drive' setting, I can push my clean tone up a bit to the edge, then launch it through the roof without having to make extreme jumps."
"At any point on tour I have two (sometimes three) distortion pedals in the chain. 'Die A Little' off our new record was recorded with 18 guitar tracks, and eventually double tracking a distorted bass. Live all I do is turn the Blogger on the fuzz setting with the tone rolled completely off (7 o'clock) and the drive all the way up (5 o'clock). Nails it!"
"If ever there was a brand name linked to the type music we make and completely encapsulate the aesthetic of how good it feels to hold a squealing guitar, it would be Electro-Harmonix. In fact the VERY first pedal I ever bought was a Big Muff Pi."

A week ago, we announced the countdown to the new Deluxe Memory Man, and that the classic 'trapezoid' Deluxe Memory Man would be discontinued.
But thanks to your feedback, we now have a better plan.
1. Starting today (April 20) we will begin taking orders from stores for the new Deluxe Memory Man. It's the exact same warm analog circuit, with premium vintage 'bucket brigade' chips, all housed in our more pedalboard-friendly enclosure. They're ready to go, so ask your favorite EHX dealer.
2. We will continue to sell the Classic Chassis for as long as we can, which we currently estimate at roughly one month. But, rather than become "discontinued" they will be considered "unavailable."
3. Both the new and classic versions of the Deluxe Memory Man will be available globally. Whether you're in the US, UK, EU (or wherever) you now have a choice of either the new or classic design.
This arrangement should be better for everybody. 
If you've been waiting for the new chassis, now you can finally get it. If you're a fan of the classic design, we'll do our best to keep them available (though we do suggest you get yours soon).
In roughly one month the Deluxe Memory Man will start shipping in our diecast chassis (see right), and the classic 'trapezoid' design (photo above by Eric Archer) will be discontinued. The new Deluxe Memory Man will feature the exact same warm analog circuit, but now in a more pedalboard-friendly enclosure.We still have limited quantities of the classic Deluxe Memory Man left, and we wanted to make sure fans would have the inside word:
