Electro-Harmonix introduces a new, compact version of the award-winning Metal Muff distortion pedal featuring extensive EQ control and a built-in noise gate with dedicated LED. The Nano Metal Muff’s EQ section: Bass +/- 14dB of cut or boost, Mid +/- 15dB and Treble +/- 10dB, equip the pedal to cover a broad tonal landscape and appeal to metal players who demand a wide array of high gain tones.

Its VOL control sets the pedal’s output level while its DIST knob adjusts the Nano Metal Muff’s input gain and distortion. A newly designed noise gate removes unwanted hum when you stop playing. It utilizes an adjustable noise floor threshold and includes a dedicated LED which indicates when the output signal is muted.

The Nano Metal Muff comes equipped with a 9 Volt battery and accepts a standard EHX 9.6DC200mA power supply. It features a USA street price of $72.70.

Electro-Harmonix announces the Eddy pedal, a vibrato and chorus with an all analog signal path that includes envelope and expression control over modulation rate and depth. The Eddy also features LFO shape warping and a tone control which expand the versatility of its classic modulation effects.

Despite its pedalboard friendly footprint, the Eddy offers a full set of controls. Toggle switches let the user select between vibrato or chorus and rate or depth control via envelope or EXP. RATE sets modulation speed, DEPTH the amount of modulation, SHAPE the shape of the modulation LFO, and ENV determines how playing dynamics cause the pedal to respond.

The Eddy is equipped with two LEDs, a white status LED indicates when the effect is engaged and a Blue strobing LED displays the rate and shape of the modulation.

EHX Founder, Mike Matthews, stated: “EHX’s long history in creating bucket-brigade based pedals goes all the way back to the Electric Mistress flanger, the Memory Man analog delay and the Clone Theory chorus/vibrato. The new Eddy springboards off that rich heritage and adds modern control to classic sounds.”

The Eddy pedal comes equipped with a standard EHX 9.6DC200mA power supply and features a USA street price of $99.00.

Electro-Harmonix has announced that the new and much anticipated Pitch Fork®+ is rolling off the assembly line and shipping to music retailers worldwide.

The polyphonic pitch shifter/harmony pedal is equipped with two independent pitch shifting engines with full control over each and both capable of transposing over a +/- 3 octave range as well as detuning +/-99 cents.

The Pitch Fork®+ features:
• Dedicated volume controls for both Shift voices and the Dry signal.
• Two outputs, Main and Aux, with multiple routing options.
• 10 unique factory presets plus the ability to easily save/recall 100 programs.
• A Bypass footswitch that toggles between effect on and buffered bypass. In latch mode it switches between effect and bypass mode. In Momentary mode the effect is on when the FS is held down and the pedal enters bypass when it’s released.
• A User footswitch that’s programmable and can be assigned to a variety of functions such as muting either Shift voice or jumping to a preset program. It features a dedicated LED.
• An EXP input for EXP or CV control over a broad selection of parameters in three sub-menus: Frequency, Glissando and Volume.
• An EXT input for connecting an external foot controller like EHX’s Triple Foot Controller which enables players to change modes, enter/exit sub-menus and load presets.
• Eight modes, including X-MOD, which features cross-modulation that creates FM and ring mod type effects, LATCH, based on the original Pitch Fork, but with enhancements to the Momentary mode functionality.

The Pitch Fork®+ comes equipped with a standard EHX 9.6DC200mA power supply, is available now and features a U.S.A. street price of $213.80.

Flanging is a modulation effect. Modulation is a broad category which also includes phase shifting, vibrato, chorus and more. Modulation effects change a sound over time. In the case of flanging what’s happening is that two identical audio signals are mixed with a very short delay applied to one. The delay time is not constant, though, it sways and varies. That’s how a flanger’s signature swooshing, swirling sound is achieved. It’s the sound of moving filtered peaks and troughs applied across the frequency range and can go from subtle to full-on jet-flange.

Our new EHX Strings Electro-Harmonix electric guitar strings are custom-designed to our specifications and made in the USA by a premiere string manufacturer. Each wound string is precision wrapped with round nickel-plated steel onto a high carbon, hexagon-shaped steel core. The plain strings are made from the same high carbon steel as the hex cores. The high quality steel and computer controlled winding process results in strings that intonate accurately, are better at staying in tune and vibrate evenly for maximum sustain.
